What it does

Anyone who's dragged Premiere's rubber-band levers knows the problem: you want to move a keyframe in time, and the tiniest wobble changes its value too. Keyframe Drag Assist fixes it at the source — hold your chosen key (Alt by default) while dragging, and the vertical axis locks, so the lever slides sideways with its value pinned exactly where it was.

It works through a small helper app that installs in one click from the panel and lives quietly in your system tray. Toggle assist with F8 without leaving Premiere, and turn on snap to have your cursor grab the nearest keyframe handle as you approach it. Important: it never touches your keyframes, effects or project data — it only steadies your cursor while you drag. Windows only for now.

Frequently asked questions

Does it change my keyframes or project?

Never. It doesn't read or write your project at all — it only steadies the mouse cursor while you're holding the key and dragging. Release the key and everything is back to normal.

Is it always on?

No — it only engages while assist is active, Premiere is the front window, and you're physically holding the key. F8 toggles it, and there's a tray icon plus an emergency hotkey.

Does it work on Mac?

Not yet — the helper is Windows-only today.

Can I change the keys?

Yes — hold key, activation hotkey, snap on/off, snap radius and activation sounds are all configurable in the panel.
